The Tour Itinerary

YOUR TOUR WILL BEGIN
at the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum with a prosecco toast, featuring a local charcuterie spread or quiche and tarts from our local French bakery Toute Suite.

NEXT
we'll take a short walk to St. Mary of the Hills Episcopal Church, a historic site showcasing the work of celebrated local artist Elliot Dangerfield.

FROM THERE
we'll make our way to Bistro Roca, where you'll enjoy two appetizers with expertly paired wines while learning about the colorful history of one of the South’s longest-running bars.

AFTER
Bistro Roca, we’ll stop at either The Speckled Trout for a craft cocktail tutorial and wine and appetizer pairing or at Storie Street Grille for a seasonal cocktail and two delicious small plates

OUR FINAL STOP
will take us to Hellbender Bed & Beverage, where you’ll indulge in a sample craft cocktail, paired with a trio of spreads in trout dip, fava bean hummus, and homemade pimento cheese.

TO END ON A SWEET NOTE
we’ll send you off with something sweet, either a warm skillet cookie sundae at Hellbenders or a chocolate chip cookie from Blue Deer on Main—packaged and ready to take home and share… or keep all to yourself.

Let us answer your questions about our food & wine tours

  • The walking tour lasts 3 hours, starting at the BRAHM museum and ending at Hellbenders restaurant. We’ll be sitting down a good bit too, but clients should be able to walk comfortably without assistance to maximize their enjoyment of the tour.  

  • Blowing Rock is magical in all kinds of weather- as they say, ‘there’s no bad weather up here, only bad gear!’ That being said, make sure you dress appropriately. However, if there’s a blizzard or a monsoon, we’ll reschedule your tour.

  • That’s ok, life happens, just let us know 48 hours in advance, and we’ll make sure you get a full refund.

  • While we can’t guarantee cross contamination at each restaurant, feel free to reach out about your needs, and our guides will do our best to work with you. Sample menus available upon request.

  • No, our menus are pre fix, however additional beverages may be purchased separately.
